Meet the Torrance Team Behind Aspen Attic Insulation Torrance

We’re a small crew, and that’s on purpose. When you call our Torrance office, you’ll talk to the same handful of people every time. The person who answers the phone knows your neighborhood. The tech who shows up at your door has a name and a face you’ll recognize from the photo we sent before the visit. Everyone on this team has worked in South Bay attics long enough to know what Torrance heat does to a house in August. We don’t rotate in strangers. We’re your neighbors, and we work like it matters, because it does.

Our People

Mike R. – Lead Technician

Mike has spent 14 years in attics across the South Bay, the last seven with our Torrance crew. He holds Owens Corning and Johns Manville installer certifications and handles the most complicated spray foam jobs we take on. If your attic has a weird roofline, a tight kneewall, or old wiring snaking through every cavity, Mike’s the one who figures it out. He keeps a folding ruler in his back pocket at all times and will absolutely call out a previous installer’s sloppy work when he sees it. Outside of work, he rebuilds old Honda motorcycles in his garage in North Torrance.

Dana P. – Senior Installer

Dana joined us six years ago after working residential construction in Lomita and Harbor City. She specializes in blown-in insulation and is the person we send when a homeowner wants every last gap filled, including the spots most crews skip. She’s trained on Knauf and GreenFiber equipment and can dial in the exact density for our coastal microclimate, where humidity behaves differently than it does inland. Dana is the one who reminds the crew to bring knee boards on every job, because she’s seen what happens when someone skips them. On weekends, she volunteers with a habitat restoration group at Madrona Marsh.

Luis T. – Service Coordinator

Luis is the voice on the other end of the phone at (424) 306-0725, and he’s been with Aspen since 2019. He schedules every visit, sends the technician name-and-photo confirmation before each appointment, and walks homeowners through the written-price guarantee so there are zero surprises. Luis grew up in Torrance and can tell you which streets in Old Torrance have single-story homes with shallow attics and which ones have the deep truss attics that take blown-in beautifully. He’s the calm one. When a homeowner calls worried about a ceiling stain or a sudden spike in their bill, Luis gets them on the schedule without making them repeat themselves three times.

Alex C. – Apprentice Installer

Alex is the newest member of the crew and works directly under Mike on attic insulation and spray foam jobs. He’s completed the Threshold Group’s internal training program, which covers the full Verified technician protocol: background check, identity verification, uniform, photo badge, and the clean, marked vehicle standard. Alex grew up in West Torrance and knows what a 1970s attic looks like, because his parents’ house has one. He’s the one who double-checks that baffles are installed before the crew starts blowing fiber. In his free time, he’s slowly restoring a 1968 Ford pickup and will happily talk about it if you ask, but only after the job is done.

One Standard, Every Job

Every person on this team works to The Threshold Standard. It’s the operating rulebook that governs how we show up and how we treat your home. Each tech is background-checked and identity-verified before they ever set foot in a Torrance attic. They arrive in a clean, marked uniform with a photo ID badge visible at the door. Before the visit, we send you the tech’s name and photo, so the person standing on your porch is exactly who you expected. If anyone else shows up, the visit is free and we make it right. The standard also covers how we quote: a written price before any work starts, every time, no exceptions. And it covers what happens after the job is done, which is the 365-Day Done Right Promise. Labor and materials are covered in writing for a full year. If a repair fails, we come back and fix it free. That’s not a preference. That’s the rule.

Our crew carries eight premium material brands on hand: Owens Corning, Johns Manville, Knauf, Rockwool, CertainTeed, Icynene, Demilec, and GreenFiber. That matters because Torrance homes range from 1950s ranch houses in Seaside to newer builds in Southwood, and no single product is right for every one of them. Mike, Dana, Luis, and Alex all know which material fits the house, the roof shape, and the homeowner’s budget. When someone from this team stands in your attic, they’re not guessing. They’re matching the product to the problem.

We’ve been at this since 2002, first as part of the Threshold Group family and now as an independently owned and operated Torrance location. The names above are the people who answer the phone, drive the truck, and climb into the attic. Call (424) 306-0725 and you’ll get Luis. Book the job and you’ll meet Mike, Dana, or Alex. That’s the whole team. That’s the point.
